POCOS focused on three interrelated areas of complex object genres and the respective digital preservation issues:
The POCOS Symposia brought together the leading researchers and practitioners in these fields and invited them to present their findings, identify key unsolved problems, and map out the future research agenda for the preservation of complex materials and environments. The three non-orthogonal areas of the POCOS Symposia highlight the potential of synergies in preserving complex objects, allowing at the same time for deliberations on digital preservation theory and practice that is specific to each area.
The Symposia were held at 3 locations across the UK with webcasts and recordings released on YouTube to the broader international community. Each event was organised by a specific project partner. For further information check the individual page for each symposium (links above and on the Navigation menu).
